Cruckton Ploughing Match - 25th September
Drop-in to the Advice and Guidance sessions anytime between 5pm and 8pm to find out about course options available both full and part-time starting this September. If you have different GCSE results to those you were expecting, again this is the event to come along to in order to find out what options are open to you. Mature students are welcome to attend to find out about courses available starting this September either on a full or part-time basis.
The Advice and Guidance Evenings are available at our Oswestry, Walford and Wem Campuses. Click here for contact details/map.

The open events are open to prospective students from year 11, their parents' or guardians'. Also if you are a mature student this event is open to you too. The events give visitors the opportunity to chat to staff, tour the college, meet some of the students and view some of their work. The events give students the opportunity to consider what next and also to apply for courses guaranteeing them a place particularly on courses where there are limited numbers available. The dates are as follows:
Early application for courses where there are limited numbers due to workstations or capacity is crucial, places are offered on a first come first served basis. This is particularly applicable to courses in the following areas: animal care, equine, hair, beauty and motor vehicle.
Would you like to try College for a day? We organise taster days once per year at both campuses to allow prospective students to try subjects they may be interested in studying post 16. Students will choose a total of 4 hours and therefore can mix and match subject options. All A Level workshops are 1 hour, Diploma workshops at Oswestry are 1 hour, Diploma workshops at Walford are 2 hours.
Thursday 11th November - Compulsory for Year 11 pupils from both Lakelands and Corbet School. If you attend another school you are welcome to attend this day also. N.B. you must get permission from your head teacher prior to booking your place.
Friday 19th November - Compulsory for Year 11 pupils from both The Marches and Rhyn Park School. Due to the size of year 11 groups combined, we cannot offer this date to other schools. The 11th November is the only date available to other schools.
