Facilities at the Walford Campus include:

  • A commercially-managed farm with:
    • 210-strong dairy herd
    • 100 ha of forage and arable crops
    • 400-ewe flock
    • Anaerobic digester generating electricity and heat from cow slurry, a wind turbine and solar energy systems

• Animal Care Centre with over 100 species and 700 animals, including:
- Alpacas
- Geoffroy’s Marmosets
- Taiwanese Beauty Snakes
- Leafcutter Ants
- Meerkats
- Freshwater Stingray
- Kookaburras

• Grooming parlour

• Veterinary medicine centre

• Equine centre with a 60 x 30m indoor and outdoor school, stabling for 32 horses and livery facilities are available

• Glasshouses, extensive grounds, plant nursery, demonstration areas, student plots and hard landscaping workshops

• Specialist engineering and motor vehicle workshops with the latest diagnostic equipment, and a range of cars, tractors and machinery

• The Collins Engineering Centre that includes CNC and robotic equipment

• Mature woodlands and new plantations

• Fishing pools

• A rough game shoot

• Purpose-built sports hall with modern facilities and gym, plus outdoor sports pitches

• Modern computing facilities including classroom suites, interactive whiteboards, library-based machines for research and social PCs for the residential students to keep in touch with friends and family
